Fermented calcium propionate LMF-CP50 is a fermentation product made of natural materials, deep fermentation, refining and extraction of microorganisms, containing natural calcium propionate, which has a wide range of antibacterial effects on molds, yeasts and bacteria, and can be used as a food preservative specifically for the food industry.
Calcium propionate is an acid-based preservative, and the main antiseptic effect is
undissociated propionic acid. Propionic acid is a monocarboxylic acid that inhibits microbial synthesis of β-alanine. Since β-alanine is a precursor of pantothenic acid, the synthesis of pantothenic acid, CoA and ATP cannot be carried out smoothly, which can disrupt the metabolism of substances in bacteria, thereby inhibiting the growth and reproduction of bacteria.
